How To Make Your Galentine's Day Party Stand Out

At least once a month our client, Adelante, one of Austin’s most stylish clothing and gift boutiques, hosts an event to connect with their community. Events range from trunk shows, to free workout classes, you name it! For the past 2 years Adelante has hosted a Galentine’s Day party to honor the ladies in their life and showcase a few of their favorite local brands. As Galentine’s Day has increased in popularity, each year there are more and more events to compete with. This year, when we started planning our annual Galentine’s Day event, we knew we needed to up the ante, and make it an event that would stand out among all the other Galentine’s Day parties.

With a goal of bringing in new faces, we thought partnering with Bumble BFF, a company based on connections and meeting new people, would be the perfect match! We presented our idea to Bumble BFF’s PR Team, Cara Caulkins Communications  and they were on board.

Cara’s team was a dream to work with, but partnering with another brand or PR firm can be tricky. We’ve pulled together a few tips to ensure a successful collaboration.

  1. Communicate each brand’s event goals and expectations ahead of time

  2. Clearly outline individual responsibilities with set deadlines

  3. Decide on the best way to organize your RSVPs

  4. Divide and conquer media outreach

  5. Outline how to best collect / share press hits

  6. Confirm day-of timeline including set-up and breakdown and staffing

Thanks to an amazing partnership, our 3rd annual Galentine’s Day Party was the best one yet!

More than 50 attendees arrived early to snag a Bumble BFF x Adelante Gift bag, sip on Frankly Organic Vodka Moscow Mules nibble on FitJoy bars and enjoy lip touch-ups by Sentral Natural Beauty, mini manicures by LACQUER  and tarot card readings by  Sound Sight Tarot.

The event was featured on Austin Woman, A Taste of Koko and Culture Map’s Galentine’s Day Round-Ups and on Austin Monthly’s and Tribeza’s weekly event newsletters.
