Thailand Adventures

One of the reasons I started my own PR firm was so I could have control over the brands I worked with. Simply put, I wanted to work for people and companies that inspired me.

One of the first brands I started working with was The Distillery, an online vintage shop created by brother & sister duo, Clif Claycomb and Catelyn Silapachai. I was drawn to their unique aesthetic. Slightly darker and more moody then what was currently popular, Clif & Catelyn weren't chasing trends but rather seeking beautifully crafted, high quality vintages pieces from around the globe.

Fast forward two years and our partnership is still going strong. So strong in fact, Catelyn and her husband, Komson recently invited me, my husband and a few other friends on a trip to Thailand.

With seasoned Thailand travelers (Catelyn and Komson visit every few years to see family) we knew this was an opportunity we couldn't pass up! I was also dying to see firsthand where Catelyn finds some of the treasures she sells for The Distillery.

Traveling around the world with Catelyn took our relationship to the next level - from client to family. My understanding of how and why she chooses specific items to sell grew ten-fold. I was completely taken back by her her keen ability to see the gems and her genuine interest in learning about the history of each item and the vendors which she purchased.

It's hard to squeeze our whole trip in one blog post, so here are some of my favorite moments:
