The Refinery's Cheeky Sneak Peek

How do you promote a location that doesn’t exist yet? You get creative! When Hayley Swindell, the founder of The Refinery said she wanted to host a “sneak peek” of the currently under construction co-working and event space - we knew we had an exciting challenge on our hands. Our goal was to create a "pop-up" Refinery highlighting all of its most unique attributes and design elements. To bring our plan to life we enlisted The Refinery's sister space, Owen's Garage to lend us a helping hand and let us take over their office for an afternoon.

While guests sipped on complimentary cocktails from Sourced Craft Cocktails they were able to experience The Refinery’s vibe-to-be thanks to our seating arrangement designed by Loot Rentals and a retail space curated by Frankie Jean. Guests also enjoyed complimentary headshots from Dos Mundos Creative and a live podcast recording by I Was Just Saying That featuring The Refinery's Designer, Claire Zinnecker.  Special thank you to Maggie Louise Confections, Frommage To You and Snap Kitchen for supplying bites to our guests.

We're thrilled with the success of the event! The Refinery collected more than 200 emails and hundreds of additional guests were able to watch the event live on Austin Woman Magazine's Facebook live stream. Thanks in part to our amazing swag bags promised to the first 25 guests, there was a line wrapped around the building before we even opened our doors! The bags included goodies by Esperos, Frankie Jean, Love Ding, Batch, Newton Supply Co.,  SRSLY Chocolate, DEFINE Austin, Malleret Designs, Elevé Cosmetics, Crystal Creek Distillery, and The Beeswax Co..

Not to worry if you missed this event,  The Refinery is hosting a Morning Hustle Story Time on Wednesday, Sept. 6th at 8:00 am.  Find more information about the event here
